Using OpenContrail to Solve Real-World Use Cases - Stuart Mackie, Juniper

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

We will present a short overview of the OpenContrail architecture and its operation with OpenStack, and will show how the OpenContrail vRouter technology can address several important NFV use cases, including:

* Virtual Mobile Management Entity (MME) - how a virtualized architecture provides capex and opex reductions in a dramatically reduced datacenter footprint

* Virtual Private Cloud Service for VPNs - network service providers can offer on-demand connectivity into cloud data centers while retaining the QoS and security of VPNs all the way to virtual machine workloads

* Virtual CPE, where network services like NAT, firewall and other security services are performed in virtual machines that can be centralized remotely from customer sites using service chaining

* Mobile Gi-LAN services - creation of physical and virtual service chains attached to physical or virtual routers
